Use Power Words

  • Verbs that help describe the amazing work you have done.
  • Example:

Maintained a welcoming environment by cleaning and wiping down tables

Developed leadership skills by running plays and encouraging teammates to participate

  • Using numbers helps paint a better picture for the employer the amount of work you did
  • Example:

“Educated 35 students over six weeks in STEM based curriculum through magic and forensics themes”

  • It is important to make the best first impression and having an error free resume is a good space to start.
  • Example:

Logging Into Xello

  1. Washburn website -> Students -> Clever -> login to MPS

-> in Clever find Xello -> Xello ‘HOME”

2. For translating English -> Spanish

3. Click into “About Me” and scroll down to

“My Resume”

4. Click each Resume category to add 3 to 4 items in each category.

5. Download your resume and click Done.
