The DE programs enable students to earn both high school and college credits at the same time. DE is offered either on-campus at NPHS or off-campus at the college/university.

$197 for Education, Health, PE and English 101 (seniors only) through MCCC

$225 for Math, Social Studies courses through Pitt

Course Selection Timeline

  • Teacher course recommendations have been entered in IC.
  • Jan 28-Feb 13: Students enter selections only in Infinite Campus accounts
  • Feb 13- end of day: Access to make changes ends for all students.
  • Jan 28 -Feb 13: There will be a course selection presentation in individual History classes. Students will complete the course selection!
  • Changes after Feb 13th are processed manually through contacting student’s school counselor.
  • April 4: Deadline for all course/level change requests.

Finding Balance

  • Students need to find their own individual balance.
  • Get involved in extracurricular activities
      • Fall sports start August 12 and football starts August 5
      • Marching Knights- open house in February- contact Mr. Santanello for information
      • Clubs/Activities hold a sign up day in September during lunches and planning another one for the spring
      • Community sports/organizations
      • Part time jobs/volunteer
  • Challenge themselves academically but don't overload
      • Looks different for each student
      • It’s okay to be cautious in planning your year
