This month students are encouraged to perform random acts of kindness as we celebrate “RAK” week. We will have a school wide spirit week February 9th-13th.
School Wide Meeting
During our all school meeting we will focus on the character trait of Kindness. For our buddy activity students will work with a partner to decorate cup holders for Union Coffee. Adding kind words, cheerful illustrations, and positive affirmations will be encouraged.
We will also be collecting cereal which will be donated to Fisherman’s Mar. If possible, please donate a cereal of your choice 2/4/26-2/12/26.
Our social emotional classroom lessons this month will focus on kindness as well as the impact our words and actions can have on those around us. Miss P, a school counseling intern working with Mrs. Cortina, will assist with counseling lessons from February through April. She will be spending time at both the elementary and middle school.

Mindful Activity
“Let It Go”
Draw a bunch of balloons on a sheet of paper. As a family, inside the balloons take turns writing down things that you are anxious, frustrated or worried about. Envision sending each balloon into the sky, and letting go of that worry. As you imagine the balloons floating high into the sky create space for positive thoughts and good energy!
