Sphero

Carefully read the instructions below. Use the ipad app called ‘Lightning Lab’ to complete the next tasks with Sphero.

With a classmate, use coding on the app, Lightning Lab, to programme Sphero to complete the following instructions. Decide how you are going to share your learning for this task (i.e. screenshots, video, photos).

  1. Name your programme: First name, instructions to code. (example, Kyron, instructions to code).
  2. You will then be taken to a screen which looks similar to code.org.
  3. Your task is to programme sphero to do the following...

Sphero

Directions:

Sphero begins on the blue screen area. Sphero then moves straight ahead along the length of the blue screen area. At the end of the blue screen, Sphero rotates anti-clockwise in a complete circle (360 degrees), followed by a quarter turn to the right (hint: what is quarter of 360?). Sphero then moves 1.5 metres forwards. Sphero then rotates a quarter turn clockwise (Hint: how many degrees in quarter of a turn?). Sphero then moves 1.5m back to the corner of the blue screen area, completes a quarter turn to the left, moves back along the edge of the blue screen and ends up where it started.
