3D Printing

  • Aims
    • Encourage the use of 3D printed models in teaching
  • What have we done so far?
    • Delivered workshops at conferences
    • Presented poster and oral presentations at conferences
    • Helped integrate the use of 3D models into group work
  • What are we aiming to do this year?
    • Set up new projects looking at how 3D printing is used around the UK in teaching
    • New idea - 3D printing for teaching coronary artery anatomy!
  • How to get involved
    • Join the 3D printing discord channel
    • We are looking for keen students to help us go forward with the project this year!

  • OSCE style 360-degree videos posted to Academic support unit and Leicester Med School Youtube page
  • Past Workshops include: ASME and GP conference
  • Possible collaboration with other med schools e.g. Aberdeen
  • Opportunities: student actors, video editors e.g. editing in examiner comments
