No

No need to quarantine.

May continue to attend school/work.

�Fully vaccinated asymptomatic students and staff do not need to quarantine after a close contact with an individual who tested positive for COVID (including household members).

Yes

Stay home and schedule a PCR/NAAT COVID Test (Day 1-5 of quarantine).

If results are negative, share results with school nurse - may return to school/work.

If results are positive, see isolation guidelines.

Student/staff may remain in school/work

If symptoms develop, stay home and schedule a PCR/NAAT test

Exception:

If a co-curricular activity has 5 participants or 20% of participants (whichever is greater), the activity will go into quarantine. Students and staff who are fully vaccinated and asymptomatic will be able to test out of quarantine with a lab rapid/NAAT or PCR test and return to school and co-curricular participation.

1Fully vaccinated is defined as those individuals two (2) weeks after they have received the second dose in a two (2) dose series or two (2) weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine. Subject to change if the Centers for Disease Control modifies its current definition.

2Close contact is defined as:

  • In the classroom, students who are within three-feet of one another for 15 minutes cumulatively in a 24-hour period with or without face coverings.
  • In a school setting, staff are within 6ft. of other staff or students for 15 minutes cumulatively in a 24-hour period with or without face coverings.
  • Individuals who live in the same household.

Fully vaccinated staff or student has a COVID positive antigen (including over the counter) or PCR/NAAT test.
