What’s the difference between drugs and what’s prescribed by doctors?

Drugs that’re usually prescribed over the counter by doctors are supposed to be good, helping your health and safety. But it gets dangerous when you overdose. Drugs in general are just addictive substances that may affect your mood or state of consciousness and endanger your body.

What to keep in mind about alcohol:

  • The legal drinking age is 21
  • Be aware of your alcohol tolerance
  • Don’t drive drunk
  • Keep track of how much you’ve drank and know or have someone to tell you when is enough
  • Don’t accept drinks from strangers
  • Don’t drink when pregnant
  • When at a bar, watch the bartender make your drink
  • Don’t combine drugs and alcohol

What too much alcohol does to the body:

  • Anemia (lack red blood cells to carry oxygen to body tissues)
  • High blood pressure
  • Stroke
  • Blood Clot
  • Irregular heartbeat

How much are you supposed to drink?

In order to be low risk, it’s recommended to drink one to two drinks per day. Drinking occasionally is perfectly fine with no health issues involved.
