Facts about Mr. Carter:
-26th year teaching at Diamond. 30th year teaching in total.
-Studied Ecology/Biology/Geology in college.
-I was born and raised in Marlborough, Massachusetts
-I worked at Walden Pond, Nickerson, Purgatory, and Cochituate State Parks as a Naturalist.
-Taught two years in Los Angeles, CA
-I have driven cross country a few times visiting many states and national parks
-I climbed the highest Mountain in Texas, Mt. Guadalupe 8,700+
-I have had chickens since my oldest was 5 years old.
-I love teaching science and love doing labs with the kids.

Many of the projects and lab work can be found in the student’s Google Classroom for you to look at and ask questions.
Lab work is a very important part of the grade this year. Students have the opportunity to excel in class if they put in their full effort during lab work and class investigations.
These were made in 2017, but still reflect my approach to teaching science.
