Opt out of Survey

2 of 12

Currently, we do not let community members opt out of any survey sent to them by the community admin.

Members should have an option to opt-out of surveys sent to them.

The admin should be able to see if a member has opted out of any surveys sent in the community.

Why do the members need an “opt-out of surveys” option?

Problem

User Story

Paula is a communities member and she does not necessarily wants to participate in all the surveys sent to her in the community.

She needs an option to opt out of surveys she does not wishes to participate in.

The community manager sends surveys to the community members via emails. Members can either take the survey from the email or by logging into their portal.

Members do not have an option to opt-out of a survey they wish not to participate in.

How does opt-out works for the surveys sent in the community?

New proposal and solutions

Community admin while sending a survey to the community will have a setting to enable opt-out icon for the members.

The community members will be able to opt out, if he/she wishes not to participate in that particular survey.

Members can login into their community portal and in the survey section under the started tab they would see an icon to opt-out of the survey.

  • If a member has clicked opt-out of a survey on the portal, dialogue box should open up asking “Are you sure you want to opt out? No reward points will be earned for opted out surveys”
