What have been the school highlights for you ?

Staff: three fully registered teachers- rebecca, phoebe, megan. Strong team committed to professional learning

Students- awesome group of children - dancing us in in the morning, taking care of younger students, stepping up for leadership and using their ORCA values

Core group of experienced LA supporting our children so well in the classroom and a few new faces this year to add to the pool of skills

Glad to be getting our Friday programmes back after covid with big shout out to Kapa haka who are just going from strength to strength sounding and looking amazing

Highlight for our seniors - Madagascar. Thank you to our incredible community who got behind the kids and bought over 1000 tickets and cheered them on so well

Garden to table is flourishing- the vege gardens are producing well and the children love their time growing, harvesting, cooking and learning through this programme. thanks to the many parent volunteers who have supported up in this during the year.

Break time- golf, badminton, coding, art, bikes,library, orca agents

Y4 camp went ahead as did 3 grit camps this year and we are about to send our Y6 students off for their final camp at school

Athletics events have been very well attended this year with one of our Jump Jam teams making it through to Nationals in Tauranga!

hosted Te Kotahitanga a day of cultural learning and sharing with other schools in our cluster

Pete the Penguin -Y1 overloaded us with end of year cuteness this week
