Probability
WALT Investigate situations that involve chance and identifying possible outcomes
What is probability?
Probability is a measure of how likely an event is to occur.
For example:
“What is the possibility of seeing a flying dog?”
“What is the probability of rolling an odd number on a dice?”
“The probability of flipping a coin and landing on heads”
Experiments, trials and outcomes
For example tossing coins and writing down whether it flipped heads or tails
For example One toss of the coin is a trial

Activity One: “That could likely happen”
Place these events along the line whether you think it’s likely, unlikely or certain
On the next slide draw text boxes with these events in them and place along the line.
Activity One: Add the events on this line!
