WORK SITE REVIEW

What?

When pre-job briefings are conducted away from the work site, the work site review is used to make sure that the work site doesn’t pose any hazards that were not discussed or managed during the pre-job briefing. You are making sure that things are as you expect, and if not, then they are corrected before work starts.

1 Minute 4 Safety

How?

By taking two minutes to explore the site to eliminate and unexpected hazards PRIOR to starting work.

Why?

To ensure that the hazards expected to be present at the work site are the only hazards actually present - there is nothing unexpected that could impact the work and safety.

When?

  • When first arriving at the job site
  • During the planning stage of work
  • When a new potential safety hazard is present
  • After extended breaks or interruptions
  • When wrapping up work for the shift

Where?

At the physical job site location
