CLASS RULES

3 Basic Rules-

  1. Come to class every day you can possibly be here.
  2. Try your very best!
  3. Don’t be a pain in the butt.

A Few Procedures:

  • Give me 5. When you see my hand go up, regardless of where we are on campus, you immediately, stop talking, face me, waiting for instructions. (if your neighbor is not paying attention, quietly get them to follow your example.)

Tardies- Be in class on time. Bring a note from someone. 3 class tardies = 1 unexcused absence.

Wearable tech- in your locker.

Restroom- between classes. Communication is key, DRAGONS!

SYLLABUS

  • Items Needed:
    • A COW. No, not the animal!
      • A composition notebook
      • writing tools
      • 3 ring binder (3 inch size) OR spiral bound college ruled notebook with several pockets for hand outs.

    • School issued laptop or your own device (NOT a cellphone) will be brought to class every single day.

    • Pens, Pencils, and Highlighters; Red Pen for editing
  • Need to Knows:
  • A 92%-100% B 83%-91% C 76%- 82%
  • D 70%-75% F 0-69%
  • Late Work – Refer to the What’s My Grade Rubric
  • Make-up Work 1 day for every day you’re out. Unexcused no more than 69% credit
  • Each particular class will have a project. Ex Envirothon, Future City Challenge, Habitat restoration
  • Charged laptops required. No cell phones, no backpacks
  • Bottled water with screw on cap is acceptable. No other food or drinks.

Entering class-

If I am not at my door, please wait quietly in the hall.

-Enter quietly and go to your assigned seat. (Note your seat number)

  • Get out your charged laptop and needed supplies
  • Reminder-Cell phones & wearable tech are in your locker.
  • Begin your bellwork. It is due when I am done taking attendance.
  • (When we set up our notebooks you will create a section for bellwork. Bellwork is a nine week grade)
  • Point your browser to our class webpage. (We will create a desktop icon)

A Few More Procedures and guidelines

  • Life. You don’t have the right to kill anything or be mean or cruel to other Earthlings. Please don’t kill anything or be mean to anything

  • Emergency Drills. Fire drills- when the klaxon sounds:
    • Stand and push in your chair.
    • Leave EVERYTHING behind, and exit through the “Exit” door in the back of the class. The class will be locked.
    • Exit the room and turn to the left at a brisk walk, cross over the parking area and up into the field at the side of the school.
    • Turn and face the building standing in a single file, silent line. As I call roll, clearly and loudly state your last name.
    • After I have taken roll, you make talk in hushed tones with others in our class only. Remain in a line.
