There is an important question at the heart of activating collaborative networks:

Our simple recommendations:

  1. Prioritize Locality: people who live near each other makes things easier.
  2. Look for novelty and cross organizations: Weave new threads of relationships
  3. Champion Diversity: outward, inward and in expertise, more differences = more potential

Whatever criteria you choose to prioritize Iโ€™d encourage you to work with invitations, self organization and take notes on the natural experiments that surely will occur.
