Pancake Day

Pancake day is similar to Polish Shrovetide. The British celebrate it on Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Additionally to frying and eating sweet pancakes, the British have another unusual tradition - the Pancake Race. Pancake Race is about running with a pan in hand, the winner is the first person to cross the finish line with frying pan and whole pancake.

Ingredients

Oil

Strawberry Jam

Flour

Eggs

Baking powder

Milk

- some oil�- 2 eggs�- 1 cup flour�- some milk�- 1 spoon baking powder�- Strawberry jam or fresh fruit ��Mix the eggs and the flour in a bowl.

Add some milk and the baking powder.

Pour the oil into the pan.

Pour some mixture into the pan and cook the pancake.

Serve with some jam or fresh fruit.
