Divide the class into groups

Collect different objects they see around them and make a list of it.

Categorise the list according to their criteria. ( see that all your listed items are atleast in any one group) write the categories on the paper.

Describe each group and give name for each group

Teacher tell each group to perform activity & accordingly fill the worksheet

Can see through it clearly

Can’t see through it

Can see through it but not clearly

Conclusion

Objects through which we can see clearly – transparent objects

Objects through which we cannot see clearly – opaque objects

Objects through which we can see but not clearly –translucent objects

What is the difference they find between old and new group?

Now give name to each category with their description

On what basis they have given name for that particular group

Students take each object infront of their eyes & try to see through it and write the name of the object in the resepective column according to their findings.

Student notices

Allow students to ask questions so that the answers to which they think help them to answer

Students might ask questions like “what does the two solutions contain?” Are the two solutions different?”

I will not answer their question but I will show them by putting two drops of solution from bowl B on cloth A and bowl A on cloth B but still cloth A becomes red & cloth B remains yellow colour.

Then they will think that solutions are not different but the 2 clothes are different

Then they might ask clothes to see. And they will observe that one cloth is Smelling like turmeric whereas other is not

Then I will also allow them to look the two solutions in bowl

8 of 9

After looking solutions in 2 bowls they findout that the solutions are soap water

From this they found that When soap is mixed with turmeric it gives red colour

Then teacher explain them about natural indicator and base
