At lunch and recess you can support students to be more successful. Invite them to sit with peers, prompt them with least to most prompting, and allow them to make choices. Encourage independence and always use prompting guidelines. Remind students of any clubs or special activities taking place during this time. Remember to take data if necessary for students plan.

** Please do not use your phone for personal use during lunch and recess periods. **

During special, it is the job of the paraprofessionals to supports students and differentiate as needed. Follow behavior plans and use the prompting hierarchy. If the task has too many steps break it down step by step at the student level.

If a student is having behavior, implement scaffolding procedures and provide the student with choices and/or IEP accommodations. Utilize behavior momentum to regain compliance and reinforce positive behaviors.
