ASEWU Clubs and Orgs Basic Requirements

  1. Maintain a list of at least four (4) student members of the organization. This list must include the contact information of all current officers.
  2. All executive officers must complete the ASEWU Club and Organization Training Course via the approved online platform by the end of the Fall Term.
  3. Conduct at least one (1) member meeting per quarter.�
  4. Have an official campus advisor. A campus advisor must be a full or part time faculty or staff member of the university.�
  5. Have on file a current copy of the organization's constitution and/or bylaws.
  6. Apply for re-registration in May

Club Funded Bank Accounts

  • Club accounts are funded from fundraisers, dues, fees and donations by the members of each individual club.
  • Your Club accounts are managed and distributed by Student Accounting Club Fund Mgr.
  • The Student Accounting Club Fund Mgr. will assist with the following:
    • Budget Planning for Events and Fundraisers
    • Club Travel
    • Checkout of Credit Card Machines Use
    • Online Payments for Dues Collection
  • We are here to help with all Club Funded events and purchases. Please connect with our office before spending/committing any Club Funds.

S & A Funds Awarded By ASEWU

  • Clubs awarded S&A funds by ASEWU will receive an email from ASEWU Finance VP to the President and Treasurer of the club at the end of the school year in which they applied(for the coming year).
  • The email letter received will give the detail of the amount of funding received, and the specifics for how the money can be used.
  • Once this has been received, the club (Treasurer or President) will need to meet with Student Accounting S&A Fund Mgr. to discuss how the funds can/will be spent.
  • The Student accounting S&A Mgr will provide the payment methods in which these purchases can be made, and then help make the purchase or payments.

ASEWU Requirements for S&A Funding Eligibility

  1. Meet all basic requirements
  2. Membership must be open to all currently enrolled EWU students
  3. Attend at least 3 clubs and orgs meetings
  4. Host/Advertise at least 1 event (not tabling/meeting)
  5. Host 3 additional member meetings (total would be 6)
  6. Host Recruitment event (tabling/promotion - NeighborFest does not count)
  7. Attended 1 ASEWU Senate Meeting
  8. Submit annual budget request

Clubs and Orgs Name Changes

  • For continuity and auditing purposes, we ask that you please meet with your club within the first two weeks of the term to discuss any changes to the name and/or purpose of your organization.
  • Any changes will need to be made by the last class meeting in October.
  • Should you wish to make any changes to the name and/or purpose of your organization after that, you will need to wait until re-registration and the change(s) will be made for the following academic year.
