National Board Certification Opportunity
Submitted by Patrick Cole
We wanted to alert you of an opportunity to achieve a Master Teaching Certificate through National Board Certification in our district. The state has opened the application process for a subsidy to pay for the certification process. It will remain open until October 11, 2021. We encourage you to look at some of the benefits of the National Board process.
I have also attached an informational PowerPoint for more information. We offer two cohorts in Waukegan, one that meets at Lyon Magnet School (3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.) and one that meets at Whittier Elementary School (4:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.) They meet one to two times per month until May and the first meeting of the year is September 28, 2021. If interested you may visit a cohort meeting, reach out to me at pcole@wps60.org, complete the subsidy and jump on board, or all of the above. We look forward to hearing from you and /or meeting you at a cohort meeting.
All decorations must be school appropriate and in line with this year’s Mardi Gras homecoming theme to be considered. The deadline to submit entries is September 15.
