The dishes are specific to each region in Romania. They differ from area to area, each dish being unique. Here are some of them:

In Transylvania, crockery (plates, bowls, etc.) are made of glazed ceramic, which is resistant and shiny. To give them color, people paint them with green, brown, blue, or cream. Flowers, birds, or other folk motifs are painted on them.

In Moldova, crockery is different from that of Transylvania because the Moldovans make it from red ceramic (clay) or black ceramic. They are painted with red (because of the clay), white (more for the outline), green, yellow or even blue, although it is rarely found. Flowers, geometric shapes or other customs are painted on them.

In Muntenia, crockery is made of glazed ceramic or pottery. The colors that people use to decorate them are: green (it is almost everywhere), red, yellow, brown, white, blue and cream. They are painted with flowers, geometric shapes, small figurines, etc.

In Oltenia, the tableware is almost identical to Muntenia because the tableware is made of white or red glazed ceramic. The specific colors are red, green, yellow, blue, cream and brown or black (generally for the outline). They are decorated with flowers, animals, landscapes (less often on large-volume dishes), geometric shapes or other popular motifs.
