We embark on an epic journey through time for the 20th UP Game, where the legendary Knights Templar and the mysteries of Portugal converge in an unparalleled adventure into our shared future.
We will take inspiration from ancient traditions such as the Knights Templars to learn from their culture in our design of a portfolio of solutions for the future.
Our journey begins at the iconic fortress hotel Fortaleza da Guincho in Cascais and into the mystical hills of Sintra where we will stay at the historic Quinta da Bella Vista. We complete our adventure beyond time at the Templar capital of Tomar.

A NEW WORLD GAME
Buckminster Fuller envisioned a gamified way to address some of the world’s most complex problems. A way for humans to understand problems in a systematic way and transition from weaponry to livingry, as he called it.
The UP Game is on a mission to realise Bucky’s vision. We are �creating a decentralised network state that is part New World Fair, �part New World Game, part New World Collective.
Narratives are at the forefront of cultural transformation, sparking our imagination with new possibilities. When enough people believe in these narratives, culture shifts, leading to changes in everything from companies to governments.

COSTS
Participation in UP Games includes all meals, accommodation, activities and other magic.
Shared Room: €3670 ($4000)
Solo Room/Suites: €5525 ($6000)��Scholarship Participation: €1840 ($2000) with for low income participants by application. There are up to 12 scholarships available in each Game.
We have 12 local participation places without accommodation and costs depend on level of participation ranging from €500-€1840
** UP Game participation fees go to our non-profit 501c3 and are designed to only cover the costs of the creation of the experience. The amount each person invests is rewarded in Stars in the United Planet.�

THE ELEMENTAL TEAMS
UP Games bring together up to 48 participants as storytellers of the future. Four teams, each consisting of up to 12 players, immerse themselves in a day of achieved visions, co-creating transformative experiences that foster teamwork, creativity, and leadership. Everyone is encouraged to contribute their unique talents, visions and gifts.
Each day, the teams set intentions and guide the rest of the players through the immersive experiences. These teams are structured around areas of regeneration, drawing inspiration from players' current projects, feelings, and values, creating a dynamic and meaningful journey within the Game.

Aether Day is the grand crescendo. We bring all our stories together into a unifying narrative that only we can tell - Our Gaian Tradition. Anticipate feeling Communitas (oneness), Catharsis (healing) and Ecstacis (rapture).�

On our departure day, we spread out into the world with gratitude for the shared journey and look forward to departing with newfound wisdom and lasting connections.
FORTALEZA DA GUINCHO
Cascais Accommodation:
This is a 5 Star Relais & Chateaux iconic hotel. Together with the Cabo da Roca lighthouse, Fortaleza do Guincho is the westernmost point in Europe. The waves of the Atlantic break strongly against the rocks at the foot of this impassive mansion. In front of the entrance gate, two cannons pointing towards the sea remind you that you are entering an ancient fortress. The beach is right below us. The Michelin Starred restaurant is being hired exclusively for our welcome dinner. This will make for an unforgettable start.

QUINTA DA BELLA VISTA
Sintra Accommodation:
The historic Quinta da Bella Vista was formerly the property of the famous British writer and father of “Sherlock Holmes,” Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930), who lived with his family starting in 1890.
The Quinta is one of the most beautiful properties in Sintra and a perfect storied home for us to journey into the ancient future together.

Tomar Accommodation:
Situated on the bank of the river Zêzere, close to one of the largest dams in Portugal, the Lago Azul Eco Hotel has a privileged location, with easy access to several points of interest in the immediate neighborhood.

The dining table is the best collective intelligence technology we have. The culinary experience for the week is going to be something to remember.
The food for the UP Game has been carefully curated for us to enjoy wherever possible organic, local, seasonal ingredients.
All meals from Sunday lunch until Saturday Breakfast will be included.
Our hypothesis: Financing from the future is substantially more cost effective than financing incremental improvements in the present. We aim to enable teams within the United Planet DAO to create a planetary project portfolio in order to collectively finance the milestones they wish to achieve this decade.
Through the DAO we will enable teams to use Stars to fundraise for their projects and solutions. Through the storytelling of United Planet we aim to showcase solutions towards planetary thriving.

REGENERATIVE�COLLABORATION
STARS: Future backed Planetary Currency
Stars are the future of money in the United Planet network state. Think of them as $ of the future. Stars will be able to be used by teams to finance planetary outcomes. Stars thereby intend to enable anyone to finance the futures they wish to see. The distribution of Stars will be gamified to incentive cooperation on shared outcomes.
United Planet will release up to 300,000 Stars with each Game. Up to 150,000 to participants and Academy members and up to 150,000 to investors.
Individuals, organizations and coalitions can sponsor United Planet philanthropically or as an investor.
