Animalive - Critter Cam

Our Critter Cam project has been a great success since its installation.

We now think it’s the right time to see how we can expand on this project in a way that is beneficial for all parties.

Introduction - Current Situation

  • We have not had any contact with Sueport since June 2022
    • Issue with licensing fixed by Animalive not Sueport

​

  • We have not been paid by Sueport for the development of the second and third animal characters
  • As they have not fulfilled their side of our contract, the contract has been disbanded and they therefore do not own the meerkat character
  • We are now in a position to move forwards without Sueport�
  • We’d like to make the addition of the 2nd and 3rd characters as realistic and affordable as possible for both parties.
    • We have therefore made this proposal as low cost as possible, without reducing the quality of Critter Cam
    • Costs will be outlined further later in the proposal

Meet Reyi, our Orangutan character!

Reyi was built as part of an early Critter Cam prototype. It already has a full facial capture set up, and we are currently working on finishing the rigging so it can be ready to launch within a couple of months.

Creative Development

We have learned that National Geographic focuses on bringing entertaining, yet educational and well researched experiences. Their approval process for each of the components can be difficult to maneuver, so we propose to collaborate with an experienced independent party to translate our technology into a brand-approved, exciting show:

Why an Orangutan?

Choosing an Orangutan as the 2nd animal for the Critter Cam system isn’t only a practical and convenient choice:�

  • Orangutans are very family-oriented. This offers potential for many fun interactions with the environment.
  • Orangutans are very smart and funny, guaranteeing exciting storylines.
  • Baby Orangutans are extremely cute and easy for kids to engage with.
  • Orangutans are very expressive, making it easy to translate the operator’s emotions onto the 3D models.
  • Orangutans are very active, which makes for a fast-paced and dynamic show.

What are the costs?

We wanted to keep the quality of Critter Cam to the same level as it currently is, and these costs reflect that. There are two costs. One cost is for the Orangutan character and one is for a future character which is yet to be developed.
