Carrington event happened again

Carrington event is considered as a strong Geomagnetic storms are caused by the interaction of solar wind with Earth's magnetic field. The resulting disturbances in the geomagnetic field can wreak havoc on GPS systems, satellite communication, electric power transmission, and more. These disturbances are measured by the Disturbance Storm-Time Index, or Dst.

It's a deep learning model (LSTM), which is able to predict solar storms and events like Carrington event.

That prediction would be shown throw website,

which will help with:

1- Give a countdown predict for next predicted solar storm.

2-Send a warnings to the competent government authorities in order to take the necessary precautions to reduce the damage.

soon we hope get sun photo data set and work on it with computer vision and link that data with a time series forecast then predict how sun will be in the future and know from sun spots creation PROCESS when Carrington will come.

Hackathon: Our Journey

As first-timers at the Hackathon, we started it full of doubts, but above all curious to see how far our capabilities can take us. we worked in parallel each one of us knew what to do.

we faced a lot of obstacles , we tried to solve all of them as a team . the hardest thing was starting working because we needed to understand many things about that phenomena to start solving our challenge
