Inspirations

Cluster 1

What we incorporated

  • Allowing users to create their own tests
  • The platform can be applied to numerous subjects

What we removed

  • Users can’t create their own questions, because the AI generates it for them.

5 of 12

Cluster 2

What we incorporated

  • An incentivised system for completing practice tests, similar to the points system in Duolingo
  • Daily reminders, via email and text, to study on our platform, similar to Duolingo’s

What we removed

  • We removed Duolingo’s system of having users compete against each other for most points
  • We removed Khan Academy’s custom curriculum system due to increased resource costs

Cluster 3

What we incorporated

  • Taking in a users text-input, and providing an output generated by an AI algorithm

  1. What we removed
  2. We simplified ChatGPT’s functionality by limiting it to only being able to create custom practice quizzes for the user. This was made possible through using a filter with GPT4 API.

Cluster 4

What we incorporated

  • We put together tests consisting of questions from our database, similar to Chegg
  • We provide answer to the questions in our tests

What we removed

  • We removed Chegg’s system of allowing users to answer homework/test questions, because the AI model does it, so it ensures consistency in the answer formats

Eliminate

  • Facilitating competition between others based on the reward system
    • Companies like Khan Academy and Duolingo do this through point based systems and leaderboards
    • Education should be based on personal growth and fulfillment, not based on pressure from other people
  • Using proprietary curriculum/educational resources, specifically made for and by the company
    • This specific curriculum can’t be generalized to schools and other settings due to varying topics covered
    • We prefer offering a multitude of resources across various textbooks and curriculums to ensure that our customers don’t miss out on any material

Reduce

  • Simplify the analytics provided by our platform
    • Khan Academy provides an intensive system of performance tracking, showing everything the user needs to develop, ranging from content to study habits.
    • Our platform seeks to make the analytics much more simplified, so that users can see simple performance metrics without feeling overwhelmed by all the numbers. It will also save them time and provide clear insights, to what's important.

  • Reduce test generation speed
    • Companies like OpenAI prioritize making lightning fast responses in their AI
    • Our platform would rather prioritise a cheaper, cost-effective, subscription with lower generation speeds, to make it more accessible to people.

Improve

  • Provide more language support
    • Currently most platforms only provide users with limited languages such as English, Spanish, French, etc. Our platform uses AI in order to generate translations for almost every language that uses the Latin alphabet. In the future we hope to provide translations for other languages such as Mandarin, Arabic, and Hindi.
  • Question Diversity
    • Most competitors, such as Khan Academy, only provide written responses and multiple choice questions. Our platform gives users more diversified question types such as true/false, short essay, etc. This makes our quizzes more unique and engaging for users.
  • Provide more options for different curriculums
    • Our platform will take inspiration from Khan Academy, and provide options to study for SAT/ACT and AP content, but also improve to include content from the IB, Honors, GCSE, and A-Levels curriculum, in order to target more markets.

Create

  • A new system for collaboration
    • Our platform allow users to generate, share, and unlike Quizlet, they can take the quizzes together. This social aspect can foster a sense of community and facilitate a group-learning environment, something which has never been seen before amongst competitors.

  • Creating interactive simulations
    • Our platform will use AI to integrate interactive simulations into our tests, enabling users to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios, leading them to retain more knowledge and understanding of the content.
