Singing and Dancing
The Duffy Actors sang a song to start their show.
We all learned the actions to the song.
Duffy played his guitar.
Doing the actions.
We were learning the actions to the song
We needed to click our fingers twice, criss-cross our arms, then be strong to show our muscles.
Moving tree.
Duffy wanted to have a nice read of his books in the shade.
The shady tree keeps running away from Duffy.
Duffy was sad because he wanted to read.
Global Girl came.
Global Girl came to talk to Duffy.
She came for a far off planet.
She was in charge of looking after the weather around the world.
Global Girl's mission was to save the Earth from climate change!
Australia - Koala
The Koala was sitting on the map next to the fire. He was complaining because his trees were on fire and chasing him. The Koala’s name was Wanda.
The bush-fire was sneaking up on the people and the Koala trying to burn them.
It was like Lava creeping down a volcano.
Global Girl had to think of a solution fast so the forest would not be burned more.
Duffy and the Global Girl did some science and made a cloud in a bottle.
Duffy opened the lid and squeezed it out of the bottle.
Tokelau Islands - The Sea
The sea could not control herself.
Duffy and Global Girl had to get to higher ground so they wouldn’t get drowned.
It was like a Tsunami.
The rain came and squirted us with a bottle.
It was making floods over the land.
It was winter and we had to blow it away.
We did not want too much rain.
African Desert - Mother Earth
Next Duffy and Global girl went to Africa. Mother earth was really dry in the desert.
She had a rose in her hand. Mother earth needed water to keep it fresh.
Making foam
Duffy and Global Girl did some more science and made elephant foam.
It overflowed the tall jar.
The Boss
The Boss from Global Girl’s planet came and was not happy with the weather on earth.
Global Girl explained that she needed to learn to read so she could get the weather right in each country. Duffy explained that he could teach her to read.
Duffy’s Red Cloak
Global Girl gave Duffy a special red cloak for teaching her to read.
Duffy was now a superhero as well.
I feel happy.
Duffy was so happy. He tried twirling his cloak but needed more practice.
We all laughed when it landed over his face.
The story song
We joined in the song with actions as the actor’s sang.
The story told us about how important it is to learn to read and enjoy books. You can find out about lots of things when you read.

We all sang the Duffy Song to end the play.
Duffy played his guitar.
We clapped and had fun.
