Ordinal numbers
twenty-ninth = 29th
Leia as frases e veja como Patrícia descreve a sua data de aniversário.
"My birthday is on October 29th."
Você notou algo de diferente ao lado do número?
O 29th é usado neste caso porque em língua inglesa usamos os ordinal numbers (números ordinais) para falar datas.
O 29th seria o equivalente ao vigésimo nono dia do mês.
Esse número por extenso seria escrito da seguinte maneira: �twenty-ninth.
Perceba que, para escrevê-lo usando algarismos, precisamos utilizar as duas últimas letras do número ordinal (th) por extenso.

Perceba que usamos o were na pergunta para concordar com o sujeito you, e usamos o was na resposta para concordar com o sujeito I.

Birthday dates: prepositions
"My birthday is in June."

Leia os seguintes exemplos:
Usamos a preposição in quando respondemos apenas o mês do nosso aniversário.
"... in June."
Usamos a preposição on quando respondemos a data completa, com dia e mês do nosso aniversário.
"... on June 10th."

Durante o processo de esclarecimento da pronúncia de uma palavra, após obter uma resposta sobre tal pronúncia, podem ser feitos novos esclarecimentos, se assim for necessário, empregando formas tais como: LIKE THIS? HAVE I PRONOUNCED IT CORRECTLY? HAVE I SAID IT RIGHT?
