During this lesson we:

  • revise some vocabulary;
  • revise the difference between Past Simple, Past Progressive and Present Perfect;
  • practise using these tenses in the sentences;
  • read some information about unusual gifts.

Grammar

We use Past Simple to express a simple action in the past (yesterday, last month…, a week ago).

We use Past Continuous to express an action that was happening during a certain period in the past (at 7 p.m. yesterday, for 2 hours last week, from 6 till 7 p.m. last Monday). It’s also used with while or as (в той час, поки).

We use Present Perfect to express an action which began in the past but has lasted up to the moment of speaking. We have the result of this action.
