www.LakeSuperiorStreams.org use in 2019 declined by about 15% from 2018 after seven years of increasing Page Requests (shown) and more than 10 years of steady use as estimated by Total Requests (not shown). The website continues to be used more in Spring, presumably from students and teachers, but unlike most years, there was no Fall peak. Overall website activity in 2019 totaled 3.8 million requests (similar to “hits” or “visits”) and 1.7 million page requests (i.e. webpages downloaded).

Page Requests: 1,081,927 Total Requests (visits): 3,028,907

www.LakeSuperiorStreams.org use in 2020, although still high, decreased substantially throughout the year. Page Requests and Total Requests decreased by 35% and 19%, respectively relative to 2019. Unlike previous years, there was no Spring or Fall peak indicative of students and teachers, which may be related to Covid-19 Pandemic disruptions to curricula. Overall website activity in 2020 still totaled 3.0 million requests (similar to “hits” or “visits”) and 1.1 million page requests (i.e. webpages downloaded).
