What’s in my paddock?
20x20 Tent with four walls
(2) 6’ tables
1 ABC fire extinguisher
Some amount of baseline generator power
Preparing for the unexpected at the Fly-Off
Teams will need to be self sufficient
Tools and equipment will not be provided by the event
The event team will take care of the tent, tables, chairs, generator, fire extinguisher but Teams needs to be responsible for their own fueling of their equipment, movements, etc.
Security will be onsite every day but securing each individual teams equipment during open hours will be each teams responsibility
In addition to event credentials being worn at all times on site, everyone should have a passport or government issued ID with the at all times
Unloading, loading, and overnight
All equipment will be loaded in by your team during the times designated by the event.
Trailers will be allowed for load in/out during designated times.
Trailers will not be allowed to be left on the airfield
There will be a limit to numbers of team members in the paddock,12 and limit of team members at the launch pads 6
Teams will be responsible for moving all equipment around. The event will not be able to support with manpower, tools or movements.
The paddock will be cleared and shut down at 7pm and overnight security will be provided for the area. The paddock will reopen at 7am.

🔋 Battery and Fuel Safety Rules for GoAero Competitions
Teams will be responsible for bringing fuels, batteries, charging systems and generators required to support their mission
Submit Documentation: Provide detailed specifications and safety data sheets (SDS) for all batteries and fuels to event organizers prior to the competition. Dates TBD.
Use Fire-Resistant Storage: Store and charge batteries in fireproof containers and only in designated areas.
Have Fire Safety Equipment: The Event will equip your tent with a class ABC fire extinguisher.
Conduct Daily Inspections: Inspect batteries and fuel systems daily for damage, swelling, leakage, or other irregularities. Remove compromised components from use immediately.

Monitor Charging: Never leave charging batteries unattended. Always monitor the charging process to prevent potential hazards.
Comply with Transport Regulations: Ensure compliance with hazardous material transport regulations when transporting fuels or batteries, including proper labeling and packaging.
Implement Emergency Procedures: Establish clear protocols for handling emergencies, such as battery fires or fuel spills, including immediate disconnection of power sources and notification of event officials.
Dispose Properly: Dispose of used or damaged batteries and fuels according to environmental regulations. Do not leave these materials at the competition site.
Use Isolation Devices: Incorporate clearly marked isolation switches or arming shunts in your drone's design to disconnect the main power source safely.
Follow Event Guidelines: Review and adhere to the specific fuel and energy regulations outlined by the competition organizers.
