  1. Occupational Exposure: is one in which the worker, due to the work process, comes into direct or indirect contact with carcinogens present directly or potentially in the work environment/process.

  • Exposure occurs in the work environment regardless of defined exposure limits. It allows the use of occupation as an approximation of exposure for epidemiological purposes.
