- Introduction to Pressure Tests.Definition. Types of tests based on evaluation objectives. Data analysis and implementation of tests. Associated uncertainties with results derived from pressure data analysis.
- Fluid Flow Theory in Reservoirs. Development of the diffusivity equation. Solutions to the diffusivity equation. Flow states: transient, stationary, and semi-stationary. Pressure and derivative pressure.Radius of investigation and drainage. Existing reservoir and fluid models.
- Pressure Data Analysis. Introduction. Damage. Wellbore storage effect. Flow Tests. Obtaining reservoir and well parameters through curve fitting. Principle of superposition. Pressure restoration tests (P* and average reservoir pressure). Fault (lateral linear discontinuity). Methodology illustration of interpretation using field cases. Interference tests.
