Advancing patrols (Years 1-3) should have 1-2 meetings a month.��In-person meetings should follow all COVID-19 safety protocols. Patrol Leaders should work with Patrol Advisors to ensure proper safety measures are followed.��Virtual meetings can be held using Zoom, Google Meet, or other platforms.�
�Two Patrol Advisors should attend (“two deep” rule for scout safety).��Patrol Leaders should invite an older scout to the meeting: � 4th year and above� Star rank� Completed SLT training��The older scout will teach rank requirements using the EDGE method.��Patrol Advisors observe the process and provide guidance as needed.�
Sign Offs:��In-person meetings � => the older scout signs the scout handbook directly.��Virtual meetings � => the older scout communicates to the Patrol Advisors which requirements were completed. �=> Patrol Advisors enter the completed requirements into Troopmaster using the mobile app.

Not all rank requirements can be completed in a virtual setting
Requirements that involve explaining and discussing work well
Others like cooking and knots are up to the discretion and best judgment of the older scout and Patrol Advisors
