What About Bots?

“A bot (short for "robot") is an automated program that runs over the Internet. Some bots run automatically, while others only execute commands when they receive specific input. There are many different types of bots, but some common examples include web crawlers, chat room bots, and malicious bots.” ~techterms.com

“Don’t underestimate bots: There are tens of millions of them on Twitter alone, and automated scripts generate 60 percent of traffic on the web at large. ”

Fact or Fiction?

One of my acquaintances posted this on Facebook. I immediately searched for information by Googling “border fence mexico built” Snopes was the first site to pop up. This is the information posted on the Snopes site “A photograph purportedly showing a border wall between Mexico and Guatemala actually pictures a portion of the Israeli West Bank barrier.”

This is the original photo. It shows a woman with an “Black Liberation” flag standing on the US flag in protest. The previous photo was obviously photoshopped.

Matthew McConaughey Had This to Say About Pueblo, Colorado Residents

http://16wmpo.com

PUEBLO, Colorado – During a radio interview this morning, Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey took a moment to praise Pueblo, Colorado residents who had helped him with a mechanical issue with his rental car as he passed through the city recently:

“We were just leaving the city limits of Pueblo, Colorado when the damn car overheated or something so I pulled it over to the side of the road and within just a minute or two there were a couple of cars that pulled over to help me out. I told them that I was on the phone with the rental car company but one of them had a brother who owned a tow truck and a few minutes later it was there and he towed it to a place nearby to get fixed.

So then the one guy finds out that I’m not from there and offers to take me in to get lunch while my car is getting fixed and I’m thinking, ‘Sure, what the hell.’ So we drove to the finest dining spot in Pueblo – some place called Bingo Burger – and got a burger. Great freakin’ burger too. These guys had no idea who I was either which made my day, honestly.

I’m telling you, these people in Pueblo are the real deal. I’m gonna move there after I retire,” McConaughey said with a laugh. McConaughey added later, “You have to understand, this is something that would’ve never happened in L.A.! So yeah, that’s my story about Pueblo, Colorado. It’s nice to know there are still places like this in America.”
