For this task you are going to create a piece of Fake Media to entertain your classmates.

Step 1:

Create a new Google Drawing. Name it ‘Evaluating Media.’ Put it in your Cybersmart folder.

Step 2:

Use the Explore tool to find a background e.g. desert, rainforest, space…

Tools > Explore > Search your docs and the web > IMAGES

Step 3:

Select the background you like, remove the link and resize from the corner to make it fill up your screen.

Step 6:

Take a selfie or find a photo you have already.

Step 7:

Upload the photo.

Step 8:

Download the image without the background.

Step 1:

Use the powers of remove.bg and Google Drawing to create a fantastically fake creature. Perhaps a pig that can fly, a spider that can spell, you could even bring an extinct creature back to civilisation.

Step 3:

Write an imaginary news report describing the discovery of this creature, or an amazing event that it has been involved in.

Step 4:

Replace the picture icon with the fantastic creature you have created. Download your completed news report as a png and share it, along with your remove.bg picture in a blog post.

Step 1:

SMRF the template.

Step 2:

Insert the image you created of yourself in an amazing location using remove.bg (or create a new one) into the stamp .

Step 3:

Write an imaginary postcard to a friend or relative. Describe the holiday you are having in the exotic location you have chosen. You might need to do a bit of research about the destination so that you can share a few facts in your letter! Make sure you use reliable sources.

Step 4:

Download your completed postcard as a png and share it, along with your remove.bg picture in a blog post.
