NEW Pre-Populated Custom Student Reports (CSRs) for teachers

    • Enables teachers to easily view longitudinal data for their currently enrolled students from PSSAs, Keystones, AP Exams, PSAT, ACT, SAT, ACCESS for ELLs, CDT, and other local assessments (as available), as well as PVAAS Student Projections on the redesigned PVAAS Student Report
    • This was an optional collection, so not all LEAs will have these available—but 214 LEAs have them! If you want to know which LEAs in your region, let us know!

Achievement

  1. Achievement describes the attainment of standards at a point in time using words such as: “Advanced,” “Proficient,” “Basic,” and “Below Basic.”
  2. Many students who perform at the highest point in the Advanced range on the PSSA in any subject, often do it the next year, too.
  3. Students from low-income families often start at a point of lower achievement compared to students who are not from low-income families.

  1. Entering achievement for a group of students is based on their available assessment history in PSSAs & Keystones.

  1. The exiting achievement of a group of students is compared to their own entering achievement.

Growth Paired with Achievement

  1. Students at all achievement levels can show growth.

  1. Both English Learners and students with IEPs traditionally have lower growth than their peers.

  1. “Green” growth means that a student group with a history of lower achievement has maintained lower achievement.
