Hence, research study is to be done on this matter because this seems like a serious issue among the teenagers. And so, the objective of the study is to identify the effects of online learning during Covid-19 pandemic on the socio-emotional development of secondary school students.

1. Have the secondary school students been enjoying to learn via online during Covid-19 pandemic?
2. What are the changes that brought by online learning to the secondary school students during the Covid-19 pandemic?
3. Is online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic related to the social and emotional development of the secondary school students?
1.5 Significance of the Study
The significance of this research study is to bring huge contributions to the community, especially towards the students, parents, educators and even the Ministry of Education. The social and emotional development of the teenagers is very important while they are on their ways pursuing studies in secondary schools. The sufficient concern and support should be given to them by the caregivers. This research study is to raise people’s awareness to attend to and notice about it. They should be more aware and pay more attention towards this issue.
1.6 Limitations of the Study
There are a few of challenges that faced by the researcher. Firstly, the students do not really or fully understand the questions that have been asked in the questionnaires and interview sessions. The researcher may need to take some time to explain to the participants in order to avoid them to answer inappropriately. Secondly, to do observation on the students’ social and emotional development, it may consume longer period to get the works done.

The purpose of carrying out this study is to identify the effects of online learning during Covid-19 pandemic on the socio-emotional development of secondary school students. There will be different parts included in this chapter. They are the research design and methodology, including sampling and population. During and after collecting data, rigour will be established too. Besides these, ethical considerations and data analysis will be included as well.

Next up, the researcher had taken some ethical considerations while collecting the information from the subjects. These were to protect the privacy and identity of subjects that participated in this research study. The researcher did not mention and state the names and identity of the subjects in his Project Paper. The researcher also did not indicate the name of the educational institution where the sample taken from. The feeling and emotions of the subjects were well taken care. The researcher made sure that the subjects are not endangered while the research study is ongoing.
