Introduction to Comparison

​

Comparison degree is a way to compare people, animals, or things using adjectives.

​

There are 3 forms of comparison:

• Positive: tall
• Comparative: taller
• Superlative: tallest

​

• Positive Degree

Examples:

The elephant is big.

Elephants are as intelligent as dolphins.

2. Comparative Degree

Used to compare two objects/people.

Pattern: adj + -er + than / more + adj + than

3. Superlative Degree

Used to show the highest/most among three or more.

Pattern: the + adj + -est / the most + adj

How to Play:

Each group receives an adjective → act out 3 levels (positive, comparative, superlative).

Other groups guess by saying the full sentence aloud.

Example: dilligent 😊 → Sita is dilligent! /Bahiyyah is more dilligent than Sita / Ina is the most dilligent!
