SBE PTA ARt Reflections
2024-2025
PTA Art Reflections is a national program encouraging students to express their creativity through the arts. Each year, students create original artwork in response to a theme, submitting pieces in categories like visual arts, photography, music composition, dance, film, and literature.
This program celebrates student talent and provides an opportunity for recognition at school, district, state, and national levels!

Film/Literature judge
Mr. Elias Reyes is currently a teacher at Elkins High School. He teaches Broadcast and Photojournalism. Prior joining the staff at Elkins, he worked for 10 years as an Audio Visual Technician for Swank Audio Visuals overseeing corporate events. His expertise is in audio engineering, live lighting and film.
Music composition judge
Mr. Devin Parker has had experience teaching music at all levels of education from elementary, middle school, to high school. Mr. Parker is currently a music teacher at Anne Sullivan Elementary School.
Thomas Nguyen is a CPP Certified Photographer working with EVOKE Photography & Video in Houston, TX. Having been in the wedding photography world for 16 years, Thomas currently has over 900 weddings in his career and still is in love with all the highs and lows and nuances of the wedding day. When he is not chasing after brides and grooms, you can find Thomas helping out with operations and production for the studio, and training and managing his amazing team of photographic artists. http://evokephoto.com

Emi Smith is a third year art teacher at Anne Sullivan Elementary here in Riverstone! She has a masters degree in Art Education and loves to expore new mediums and techniques with her students while also learning about the history of art, artists and styles.

Jeanne Melton is currently an art teacher at Elkins High School. Ms. Melton has many years of experience under her belt teaching both high school and middle school art. She also sponsors the National Art Honor Society at Elkins.

Tamana Patel is a FBISD native and a current art teacher at Commonwealth Elementary School. She loves to share her passion of art with children and help students connect what they learn in their core classes to what they learn in art.

Terence Tang is an artist and designer from Houston, Texas. His creative focus is hand lettering and he's passionate about using his skills and experience for social good and to tell impactful stories.
