About Laboratory
The Transportation Engineering Laboratory provides a practical learning environment where students explore the essential aspects of transportation materials and systems. These evaluations are important for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and longevity of infrastructure. In Transportation Engineering Laboratory students gain hands-on experience with a variety of test on aggregate and soil, including:
Subgrade Soil: CBR Test: evaluate the strength of subgrade soil.
Aggregates: Crushing Value Test: Measuring the resistance of aggregates to crushing
Aggregates: Impact Test: Analyzing the toughness of aggregates
Aggregates: Shape Test: Testing elongation index, flakiness index, and soundness
Aggregates: Specific Gravity and Water Absorption Test: Determining specific gravity and water absorption to understand density and porosity.
