ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SCHOOL

  • 1731: School was first mentioned as voluntary school, they gathered on Sundays at church
  • 1808: For first time, the position of teacher was anounced, the choosen one was Janez Cvek
  • 1814: They build a new school next to Majzel´s house
  • 1871: School became public, regular and state institution
  • 1871: 240 childrens were enrolled, it was only 1 class, head techer was Janez Saje
  • 1875: They add another class, new teacher Valentin Burnik
  • 1876: It expanded into 3 classes, new teacher Emilija Korošec
  • 1888: There were now 4 classes
  • 1896: School in Orehovica was established
  • 1903: They builded a new school, compulsory schooling lasted
