As a group you’ll be completing an activity where you unpack and further analyze the information you’ve gathered in the empathy phase. This should help provide clarity in defining your specific censorship problem and audience. You’ll be completing this activity as a group but everyone must fill out their own doc.

Prototype: Create rough drafts of your product/project.

Test: Present your prototype to another group. Receive and implement feedback.

  • Note: many attempts at bans and censorship have to do with programs, displays, clubs, etc. This video just covers books. Drag queen story time (public libraries), school displays of books with LGBTQ+ characters, and school GSAs are the most censored programs.
