Biography: Born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. Came to the US at age 15 and completed High School and college in a language different than my native. I am a daughter of immigrants, an immigrant myself, a wife to an amazing husband, a mother of 2 rambunctious boys, a registered nurse, Second grade parent coordinator and a proud member of the Adelante Community. The best legacy I can leave to my children apart from education, is the preservation of our culture through the Spanish language.
Biografía: Nacida y criada en San José, Costa Rica. Llegué a los Estados Unidos a los 15 años y completé la escuela secundaria y la universidad en un idioma diferente al de mi lengua materna. Soy hija de inmigrantes, inmigrante, esposa de un esposo increíble, madre de 2 niños traviesos, enfermera registrada, coordinadora de padres de segundo grado y orgullosa miembro de la Comunidad Adelante. La mejor herencia que puedo dejarle a mis hijos aparte de la educación, es la preservación de nuestra cultura a través del idioma Español.
Delia Oseguera Navarro
Position: Vice President / Vicepresidente
Biography: PTA Vice President and also Parent Coordinator for fifth grade. I also help out the teachers in the morning and some afternoons trying to get the kids to and from school safely. I’m hoping to bring even more parent involvement into the school. Our goal is for the children to have pride in the school and be excited to come and learn and have fun!
Biografía: Vicepresidente de la PTA y también Coordinador de padres para quinto grado. También ayudo a los maestros por la mañana y algunas tardes tratando que los niños llegan y irse de la escuela de manera segura. Espero traer más participación de los padres a la escuela. ¡Nuestro objetivo es que los niños se sientan orgullosos de la escuela y emocionados de venir a aprender y divertirse!

Position: Secretary / Secretaria
Biography: I’m a stay at home mother of two boys, one is currently a 4th grader and a first student at Adelante, I’m returning as one of the schools yard duties and I’m returning PTA secretary. I’m also a sports mom for over 6 years.
Biografía: Soy ama de casa y madre de dos niños, uno es actualmente un estudiante de 4 grado y un estudiante de 1 grado en Adelante, estoy regresando como uno de los deberes del patio de la escuela y estoy regresando como secretaria de la PTA. También soy una madre deportista por más de 6 años.

Linneth De La Rocha
Position: Treasurer / Tesorera
Biography: I am a mom of two at Adelante (2nd and 3rd grade) and a wedding and portrait photographer. I also own a tattoo shop with my husband and handle all the business side of things of the shop. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended a dual language immersion elementary school myself. I enjoy dedicating my time to the Adelante community and volunteering in the classrooms.
Biografía: Soy madre de dos hijos en Adelante (2do y 3 grado) y fotógrafa de bodas y retratos. También tengo una tienda de tatuajes con mi esposo y manejo todo el lado comercial de las cosas de la tienda. Nací y crecí en el Área de la Bahía y asistí a una escuela primaria de inmersión en dos idiomas. Me gusta dedicar mi tiempo a la comunidad de Adelante y ser voluntario en las aulas.

Christina Garcia
Position: Financial Secretary /Secretaria Financiero
Biography: Mother of 6th grade twins at Adelante. I was previously Adelante PTA President in 2021 where I learned a lot about PTA including the treasury role. In 2022 I decided to transition to the treasury role due to going back to the office. I have enjoyed the treasury position as it allows me to tend to family and work life but still do my part as a volunteer at our school.
Biografía: Madre de gemelos de 6to grado en Adelante. Anteriormente fui presidente de la PTA de Adelante en 2021, donde aprendí mucho sobre la PTA, incluido el papel de tesorería. En 2022 decidí hacer la transición al rol de tesorería porque volví a la oficina. He disfrutado de la posición de tesorería, ya que me permite atender la vida familiar y laboral, pero aun así hacer mi parte como voluntaria en nuestra escuela.

Position: Financial Reviewer / Revisor financiero
My name is Maria Hernandez PTA Financial reviewer and also Parent coordinator for Kindergarten class. I am a proud mom of four beautiful children of which two attend Adelante (Ariana Kinder and Eddie 1st grade). I’m a new mom to the school system and have committed myself to be involved as much as I can by helping this amazing Adelante community achieve their goals for the benefit of our children.
Mi nombre es María Hernández Revisor financiero de la PTA y también coordinadora de padres para la clase de Kindergarten. Soy una orgullosa madre de cuatro hermosos hijos de los cuales dos van a Adelante (Ariana Kinder y Eddie 1 grado). Soy una nueva mamá en el sistema escolar y me he comprometido a involucrarme tanto como pueda ayudando a esta increíble comunidad de Adelante a alcanzar sus metas en beneficio de nuestros hijos.
