Keywords and Concepts to Know
Narrative–an account of events or experiences that tell a story; may be fiction or nonfiction
Narrator–the person who is telling the story; may be a character inside the story or an outside observer
Characters–the people in a novel, story, play, or film
Point of view–the position from which a story is told
First-Person Point of View–a point of view from a character’s perspective using the pronoun I
Third-Person Point of View–a point of view from outside the narrative, using the pronouns he, she, or they
