Structure of PE Lessons

PE teachers will go to the homerooms at the beginning of each lesson.

All students, including remote, will be greeted.

The remote students will go to schoology and log into the PE folder where they will find the lesson for the day.

How to log in for the remote lesson?

Homeroom - Outside Transition

PE teacher and students will walk to the outside area while practicing all UNIS Covid-19 protocols.

Student preparation for each lesson

Students must be prepared for the lesson by having their PE uniform (athletic/loose clothing & sneakers) and carrying their personal bottle of water.

Junior School

Outdoor Facility

PE lessons will be held next to the lobby entrance. Each of the lessons are in a designated safety area.

Activities

Junior School students will participate in all games and activities at a low intensity level. As a result, students will develop their basic motor skills, balance, and coordination, etc.

Our priority is the health and wellness of all students to expand socially and emotionally during this unique time. In all lessons students will have the opportunity to interact with others with proper social distancing while being engaged and active.

For students that are remote, there are online lessons to follow on Schoology. Your child can also take a break from the screen during PE as long as they are active at some point. It may be a family walk, bike ride, team practice etc.

Equipment

All equipment used during a lesson will be placed into the designated area for sanitation at the end of the lesson and at the conclusion of the school day.
