Cards For Cubs

From what we have learned about this unique non profit organization, is that we really want to make sure we bring more awareness to this organization. We understand that there is a lack of card maker volunteers and also card organizers. By making sure there is constant feedback from new volunteers and an optimized social media platform, we hope to increase Cards for Cubs brand awareness and get more volunteers in the door. We understand that there are big plans in the future and we hope with our help, you can reach that 100,000 card goal in 2023.

The Issues

Not enough card organizers

Ethical ways to show the process

Not enough Awareness

Not enough card makers

Despite the constant need for cards, the lack of consistent card maker/organizer volunteers is an issue. If there is not enough volunteers to help, there might be a risk of quality control present. There is also concerns about the social media platforms. The first concern is that Cards For Cubs can’t show the full impact of the cards due to the legality of things. Due to the subject, you legally can not get testimonials from children in the foster system, it is also unethical. The second concern is how do we do show everything in an ethical way on social media to bring awareness.

8 of 40

Why are these issues happening/solutions

We as a group have decided that due to the subject of nature to give creative ideas to show how the whole Cards For Cubs process really works. We believe that the issues keep presisiting due to the lack of awareness. For example, we can show the process in a legal/ethical way on social media by gaining new testimonials from new/present volunteers. We can also optimize the Cards For Cubs Instagram by making the account into a business account. Doing so, we will get more insight of the demographics and create new content based on what is being shown from the dashboard/analytics. With all of this in mind, we can raise awareness and gain more volunteers with this method.

The Plan

Here is what we are planning to do

The Plan

Create a Google survey

By providing Instructions on how to make the CFC instagram a business account instead

Step by Step on How to make A business account

12 of 40

Google Survey

  • This is how it will look (we will give you access to it)
  • It will provide the volunteers questions on how difficult was signing up was, rating how the work was, rating the overall experience, feedback, and their testimonials.
  • We do suggest making a QR Code of this, to make it easier for volunteers to access and complete at the end of the day. A link could be use for people making cards outside the building.

13 of 40

Using The Google Survey

Have the volunteer complete the survey

Step 2

Look at the survey for insight, feedback and testimonial

Step 3

Before a volunteer leaves, let them know about the survey, have them scan a QR Code of it

Step 1

Add those testimonials to an Instagram Highlight, or make content. As well as add it to the website

Step 4

14 of 40

  • Placing the QR code of the survey somewhere near the front of the Cards For Cubs headquarters doors as its own station so it stands out

  • Clearly communicate the importance of this survey and make it mandatory

  • Use a link of the survey for volunteers who participate outside the headquarters/ won’t be in the building

It is already proven that posts with hashtags and even their location tagged do better than posts that don’t use hashtags and location. Make sure to research which hashtags are more effective for your cause. Engage with your followers by responding to comments and messages. You can even follow relevant accounts and volunteers to build relationships and increase engagement. Don’t forget to use Instagram insights as well. Use that feature to track the performance of your posts, stories and adjust your content strategy when need be. You can also choose to run ads by boosting some of your posts. Consider running ads to reach a wider audience and promote the business by targeting your market audience. Remember that people do not like to be promoted a lot, so use the 80/20 rule, 80% educating, entertaining, etc, and 20% promoting the cause. Utilize user generated content created by followers and volunteers. Share photos, videos and stories from them and tag them. And finally, collaborate with other accounts. Doing so can help you reach new audiences and build relationships with businesses and even volunteers.
