Sara Ozbun…born in Overland Park, KS in 1981

Sara grew up an active, eager child, with many interests from a young age…

Such as climbing…

…and sports…

…and from a young age, she obviously had a way with kids!

Sara continued to grow in Overland Park

Showing a talent for math at a young age…

…trying different hairstyles…

…and showing a passion for academics from grade school on!

Sara grew up loving on kids and working with them in the church,

on the mission field,

and just in fun!

In High School, Sara continued to pursue interests in academics, band, church, and kids!

In 2000 Sara graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School…

…and started a new adventure at Pitt State University!

In Pittsburg, Sara found a home with a new church, new friends, and a whole new group of kids to love on!

Sara also spent a summer working in Leawood as a jr. high student ministry intern.

After graduating in 2003 with a BA in Psychology, Sara packed her bags and headed to the great unknown…

NEW ORLEANS!!

Here, Sara got the opportunity to join Urban Impact Ministries and work with inner city youth…MORE KIDS!!

After New Orleans, Sara came back to Pittsburg for yet another adventure: marriage!

At the same time, Sara took a job as a high school paraprofessional, and her love of kids collided with another newly discovered love: teaching Special Education!

As Sean and Sara walked off into their new adventure , her plan was to get her teaching certificate so she could continue to work with kids as they started their new life together.

BUT…

…that plan was put on hold when a whole new adventure started…with the arrival of new kids…her own!

As Sara became a stay-home mom of three, she continued to pursue her dream of teaching Special Education.

When Fall of 2011 rolled around, it was finally time for her professional semester, spent in a middle school ED/BD classroom.

It was challenging…but she LOVED IT!

And now, in December of 2011, she is ready to emerge from school as a certified SPED teacher…ready to do what she has always loved to do…

WORK WITH KIDS!
