Standard 1: The Vision of Learning

I value: Creating schools that have a collective relentlessness about educating all student to high level of achievement.

Therefore we will:

    • Create school environments where all students demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure their competence in the economic, social, political, and intellectual life of their communities.
    • Create school environments that enable students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills through a variety of assessments.
    • Build collective efficacy in our staff that their actions make a difference for all of their students.

I value: Creating schools that continuously examine and use data to improve teaching.

Therefore we will:

    • Use data to challenge assumptions and myths about student abilities
    • Highlight data that reflect the academic success of students with disabilities
    • Challenge ourselves to consider how our instruction influenced those successes
