Purpose:

  • The purpose of this investigation is to find the best solution to remove slime from clothes (The fastest).

  • The solution would solve sticky slime that is stuck on clothes. This will be tested on clothing (a shirt).

Graphs:

  • This graph is about which solution is the fastest/best at removing slime. This is determined by average time of each solution from the 3 trials. White Vinegar is the best solution because it took the least amount of time to remove the slime from clothing.

Conclusions:

What is the fastest slime removal solution? After doing 3 trials of each possible one, I have come in conclusion that White Vinegar is the best solution. This is because, white vinegar took the least amount of time to remove slime from the clothing (and it left the shirt the most clean).

My hypothesis was correct. I chose this, and it is confirmed to be correct. Compared to others, white vinegar did the best and fastest job, therefore it is the best solution.

Real World Connections:

In the real world, many children enjoy making/buying slime. From inspiration to their favorite youtubers, or store bought slime, children enjoy playing with the gooey mess. As fun as it is, slime can always end up on their clothes! This usually freaks out parents, because the clothing could be expensive, special or just not ready to be thrown out. This project showcases the best solution to solve this problem. This would help out many people, since this situation is pretty common amongst kids. This would benefit peoples needed clothing and hard earned money spent on the clothing.
