An Introduction
to the Student Women Economic Empowerment Programme
COMPETITION TIME (1 MIN)
What is the EDHE 2024 theme for the year?
The WHY
The Problem
Under-representation of student women in entrepreneurship and business
In the context of prevalent unemployment, student women run the risk of being unemployed, even when they complete their university studies.
In the context of rampant gender-based violence, student women often feel forced to remain in abusive partnerships due to not having the financial resources to support themselves if they leave the abusive partner.
