What we’ve been doing in the last 6 months

• Spring flowering bulb planting Video

Autumn day 2024

• PRERA are evidencing and reporting Serco failure on the estate.
• PRERA are speaking to Lambeth and have spoken to councillors and our MP regarding the need for Metrostor Bins and more regular litter pickup.
• Litter picking and weekly reporting of fly tipping and missed collections.

Bins and Litter

• Pushing for Lambeth to repair wall between Bushell Close and Presentation Mews without charge to residents

Repairs and maintenance

• Resolved Leak outside Despard House
• Resolved damage left by works on Bushell Close

• Footpath outside One Stop Shop.
• Organised replacement trees by the HIVE at no cost to residents.
• Connected with Lambeth Trees to understand planned tree works.

Grounds

• Agreed with Durkan to be compensated for use of Car Park with planters. Location of planters to be decided.

External contractors

• Wildflower patch planted and plug planting planned for this Saturday.

Gardening group & Incredible Edible Lambeth

• Agreed with Lambeth and Mowing plan for the estate for 2025

Mowing

• Sending S21 requests to Lambeth on behalf of residents.
• Setting up working groups to look at Service Charge block by block.

Ongoing and planned actions

• Spring Day 26th April.
• Summer Community Day to happen again, date TBC July 2025..
• Organise a community activity to coincide with the opening of the Hive.
• Bike Parking - Lambeth have recently advised us that there is currently no money for bike parking on the estate.
• Working with UKPN to resolve the damage caused by their works.
• Lambeth Housing Governance resident engagement meeting.
• Building on initial connections with related organisations.

Ongoing and planned actions

• We are looking for volunteers to look after the planters on our estate. The planters on Despard platform and Ponton platform have already been adopted by local residents who weed, water, prune and litter pick throughout the year.
• From May to August 2025 we are hoping to organise gardening evenings once a month. A poll will go out on the gardening WhatsApp group soon for preference of day of the week and time. Keep your eyes peeled!
